Welcome to my Photos by Keris Blog!!!
This has been a long time coming and I am so, so excited to finally have a proper space for sharing sneak peeks of client sessions with full resolution photos and plenty of room for storytelling! I've been thinking about how I wanted to kick off the blog and to me it seems most appropriate to take a stroll down memory lane and share with you a handful of my personal favorites over the past couple of years.
These first three pictures are from a family session that I did back in October. I had a great time taking newborn photos for their little girl six months before so when they emailed me saying that they wanted to get dressed up and do a funky retro themed session, I was all about it! My job is fun. I love it. I love creating sessions. But it is even more fun when my clients have a vision for themselves and are game to try new things. I mean, c'mon, they even found a retro outfit for the baby (check our her rad headband!). We strolled down Cedros Ave. with 60's music playing from my stroller speakers, just to get us in the mood. It was fun watching the faces of people passing by as they tried to figure out what was going on. The family did a couple of outfit changes and we had fun playing around with a variety of "poses." At one point we stumbled upon this red sports car parked on the street and had to stop for quick shot! During processing, I was playing around with the graininess of the last photo of them crossing the street and just fell in love with the slightly rough, nostalgic look that it created. Enjoy!
More to post tomorrow...
